Cheorwon, located on the Northern part of the Republic of Korea, is home to numerous historical sites related to the Korean War. Furthermore, due to civilian control regarding military zones, the area boasts one of the most peaceful and beautiful natural sceneries in the nation.

Here is what this day trip will be composed of:

1️⃣ Baengmagoji Memorial Tower
Stand at the very site of the 10-day battle that changed the course of the Korean War. Honor the lives of over 3,000 soldiers at this powerful monument and museum. Experience peace where history was once written in fire.

2️⃣ Korean Workers' Party HQ
Built in the late 1940s under North Korean control, this eerie concrete structure served as the political and military hub of the region before the Korean War. Now abandoned and riddled with bullet holes, it's a rare, chilling remnant of divided Korea.

3️⃣ Cheorwon History & Culture Park
In the 1930s, Cheorwon was one of Gangwon's three major cities, with a thriving downtown. This spot recreates this prosperous era with restored buildings, retro shops, and cultural exhibits based on history.

4️⃣ Yeogi Jeogi Festival (EXCLUSIVE)
We will also stop by a lively local festival taking place in a campsite in Cheorwon. The festival will be hosting a flea market, various cultural events, food trucks, and even music performances.
